The land on which Huddersfield Friends Meeting House is situated has been used as a place for Quaker worship since 1770. The older part of our present Meeting House where we hold Meeting for Worship every Sunday morning dates back to 1812 and attached to this building is a newer extension built in 1898. The building is set in attractive gardens.
Huddersfield Quakers warmly invite you to come along to our Meeting for Worship.
Huddersfield Quaker Meeting House is about 1½ miles from the town’s bus and railway stations, approximately 20 minutes walk.
By bus – take the 301/302 service to Golcar from the bus station to Paddock Junior School. It runs every half-hour on Sundays.
By car – take Manchester Road (A62) from the city centre, turn right at Longroyd Bridge to “Paddock and Longwood“. The Meeting House is on the right-hand side of Church Street opposite the six-storey flats.
Parking is available within the Meeting House grounds. There are bike rings for locking up bicycles.
